Doug,
   The center to center distance between the cam sprockets and the crank
shaft sprocket, as well as the cam to cam distance increases as the
alloy block and heads expand. Alfa refers to the tensioner as a
"detensioner" if you read closely. Zat's "abortion" is just that, an ill
informed shortcut showing the makers lack of understanding of how the
original mechanism works. Use the factory piece(s), either hydraulic or
