BerlinaTrek is over!

Hi all!

Well, Im back from my USA trip, and can tell you that touring the States
in an Alfa is definately a worthwhile experience. Marc Alley's '74
Berlina was our trusty steed, and took us thousands of miles in style!
Marc already knows how much we appreciated the loan of the car - it
really did make our trip something special. If anyone here in Oz has a
berlina for sale, I'd be very interested.

we had a few interesting car problems, including a broken windshield,
and a wiring loom meltdown, but all were sorted out (Endless thanks to
Willie Schmidt for the replacement windshield!) without too much
trouble.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the response that the Berlina drew -
many people both young and old commented on how cool the car was and
wished us well. I was saddened however at the distinct lack of other
alfas on the road - excepting spiders, which were *relatively* common, I
could count the number of 105-series cars we saw on one hand. People
seemed to be aware of the marque, however, often saying things like
"Wow! Alfa Romeo - cool!"

I'll put the story of the trip and associated photos up on my web page
in the near future for anyone who is interested.

So then, has anything interesting happened in the alfa community in the
last three months?

Cheers!
