Oil suggestions

With all this talk of what to put in our cars I found it interesting to
notice the sticker on the hood of our 1977 spider. The recommended oil is
Agip Sint 2000 10w50. My understanding is that Agip Sint is a synthetic oil
that is also recommended for the 164. True or false?
