Hi

Not sure if this is relevant (and I havent pulled a Nord engine
to pieces to have a look) but on some cars the distributor and
oil pump share the same drive and this can break, sending the
timing out (possible distributor damage) and also disconnecting
the oil pump.

Maybe worth a look
