power steering stop-leak

In AD7-815 Neil Smith asked about "easy fix for a leaking power steering pump 
that involved a stop-leak fluid". The discussion was about a year ago, 
mid-July, and one of the participants was Fred Di Matteo (currently at the 
convention, so I will take the liberty of answering for him) and he had used 
a can of Slick 50 two years previously and had no problens since. How 
effective it would be, and for how long, could depend on the leak, but it 
could be worth trying. He was not making a specific brand recommendation, 
thought any well known brand probably as good as another.
