Trans power flush

I had a request to post the DIY Trans power flush the guy that's selling me
a 164L transmission
told me about.

This is what they said to do in order to completely flush out your Trans to
include the torque converter

Get the car up to operating temp shut off engine disconnect the line from
the output of Trans to the cooler get a large bucket and hold the hose into
it but do not submerge the line. take off the fluid
filler cap off the Trans and put in a long funnel have a few open quarts of
Trans fluid at the ready
have a assistant start the engine set the parking and foot brakes and put
the car in drive rev the engine slightly not enough to move the car of
course this will start the torque converter to engage
and pump fluid, continue to add fluid constantly and watch the fluid pump
into the bucket until all
the fluid coming out is clean. he said to do this after you service the
Trans i.e. new filter, fluid.
Once all the fluid is clean turn off the car, connect the line up and top
off the fluid. It seems easy
enough and saves the $90.00 a lube shop charges to do it.
Hopes this helps. I plan to do this every time I service my Trans hopefully
it will prolong the life
of these seemingly gentle creatures

Happy motoring
