I have the AR ricambi chip in my 90 Spider and do not have a problem with the 
check engine light, as long as I start the car quickly.  If I turn the key 
slowly and let all of the warning lights come on the check engine light will 
stay on. If I turn it quickly enough, no light.  When the light does come on I 
just turn it off and  restart it.
