Vapor separator and gas all over the place.

Hey cats,

My Alfetta just won't stay in a good mood.

I put some new K&N filters in and a new piece of hose from
the air box to the vapor separator. Took it for a test drive and
it started sputtering and died at idle.

There's gas coming out of the separator. Oil all over the dip
stick - all the way up. The oil was black yesterday, it's due
for a change, but now it light. I can't really smell gas there
but that tube at the base does go to the separator as well.

What's the deal?
