brake warning light

Hi all,
after changing brake discs, pads and brake fluid in my gtv6 the brake pad
wear warning light is on. Is there a way to reset the light? In my VW van I
had to disconnect and reconnect the housing of the light to reset the
relay. Something similar in the gtv6? Could the high metal content of the
Tarox pads, or the fact that the front pads don't have a wear sensor have
anything to do with the light staying on?
