Wrecked my Gt 1300 Jr

Hello to All!
I am new to the digest, and this is my first submission. I have a
'72 Gt 1300 Jr that
was cut off and spun sideways over the median strip. The first words of
the woman who
cut me off were, "I just had brain surgery last week. I am going to be
sick. Can you give
me a ride home?"
I was using a lap belt at the time. Rang my bell pushing the steering
wheel into the
dash. (I am now looking for a matching 2-spoke wheel) Smashed up the
right front
of my Jr, but good. (Can anyone help me find european Jr. body parts?)
I was still in
the process of finishing the car - did not have it properly insured yet.
(needed right
front turnsignal and a respray, was waiting to get my seats back from
being re-upholstered.) State Farm (her insurance company) has admitted
to the accident being
their clients fault. They want to cut me a check for 1/2 of the repair
estimate. The repair estimate was already shaved, a number of things
were left off.
Does anybody have any suggestions? My attorney is like tits on a bull.
Useless!
In '72, Jrs were not imported. State Farm wants to call my car a GTV and
appraise it
as such. I just want them to pay to make my poor car look the way it did
before the
accident. I suppose that it will never be worth as much as it was before
the accident.
But, it can be beautiful, again. Please don't tell me to give up. I
am the car's 4'th
owner and I have the car's complete history- including all sales
brochures. The car
was ordered from the factory for delivery in London GB by a French
Ambassador or
diplomate (guessing by the stationary and addresses) who was stationed
there.
The car was extremely worthwhile before the accident and deserves to be
adorable
again.
Greatful for any Help or Suggestions!!
