brake bleeding

Wow, I just did this a couple of days ago. You will need a gallon of brake
fluid, 4 liters. Drain out the reoivoir by taking the feed hose off of the
pump. Be prepared as a little more than a liter will come out. Reattach
hose. Fill tank. I did the back brakes first but after I was done I read
the manual and it said to do the fronts first. I used the pump to do the
back brakes which is ok but you will need to top the reservoir often. You
will also need a hose that is a tight fit on the nipple. I put the key to
run let the pressure build up slid on a box end over the bleed screw, hose
over the nipple (which will keep the wrench on) and bleed into a container
untill the fluid was clear. This took several topping of the reservoir. The
fronts you have to do the old fashioned way. I don't have any fancy stuff
so I sweet talked the secretary at work.:-) This time I ran the hose up
over the castor arm then down to my tray, this seemed to work well. Did
that until the fluid was clear. My pedal is as hard as it ever was.
