"Melissa" Virus alert! This is for real!

This is no hoax. There is a new virus that began attacking Friday
03/26/99. It is expected to spread rapidly. Visit the site below for

My recommendation is twofold:

           If you have Web based e-mail screen all your e-mail on the
Web first and delete suspect files from the server before you ever
download them. (You can still read the e-mail while it is still on the
server, just don't download any message with an attachment you don't
expect. You may also wish to e-mail the sender to confirm they sent
you a message with an attachment.)

            or

Download the shareware free "DL MailFilter" ($12.90 US to register) at
(no financial interest, etc.):

            http://web.singnet.com.sg/~leemhc/download.html

and install it on your machine(s). Be sure to read and follow the
instructions at the top of the page. With it you can preview all
e-mail before downloading them to your `puter.
