Welty Fund situation/issues

I am asking anyone with intention of donating to the Welty Fund to
please proceed. The weak response makes it hard to justify the effort.

A very disappointing 7% of the digesters have donated. Some of you have
been very generous, I thank you for the kindness and for carrying the
rest of the subscribers.

But 93% of you don't seem to feel the Alfa Digest is worth 10 bucks...
Ask the BMW folks about the empty void...If you haven't derived at least
$10 in value, you must be very new to the Digest, or know everything...

I have received some e-mail telling me that the Digest is public domain
and should be free...How cheap can you get? I spell it MOOCH.

Also, interestingly enough, I have seen situations where the ones who
can least afford it are the most generous. I'm thinking of one recent
$40 donation....

If this had been the "Buy Richard a car program", it would be a rusted
out ARNA....

Take a few minutes and help support this great resource. You have a
Digest owner reduced to trying to sell t-shirts to support something you
get for free. Put a little effort into this. It goes to the ISP bill.
For YOUR benefit.

Current balance after 3 months, $1461. Come on folks, put some effort
in...
