Power windows and mirrors

I can only 'wind-down' the rear windows on the 164 from the centre consul,
they work fine i.e. both directions from the rear door switches, in addition
both side mirrors have stopped working.  I have checked fuses and cleaned the
switches, but I have been unable to find the reason.  Could these problems be
related and what is the best way to start to fix the problem?
