Ignition timing on 86 Graduate

Hey Guys,

    I checked the ignition timing on my 86 Graduate today and it is off; how
do I set it? The maintenance manual and owner's manual (for an 82) say not
to rotate the distributor or serious damage may be done. Thanks.
