Giulietta Turbodelta

In AD7-396 Marc Jungo asked various questions concerning his father's
Giulietta Turbo 2.0 Autodelta, bought in Belgium in the mid eighties, adding
that he heard different numbers for its total production (400, 200, 160).

In AD7-397 John Christensen answered with a good quote from Kartamalakis'
book, including that "After the (Alfetta) GTV Turbodelta came the Giulietta
Turbodelta, with 175bhp - - - These cars are rare also, but not as rare as
the GTV turbos."

My source-book is out on loan but according to old notes d'Amico-Tabucchi
gives production quantities of 500 for the Alfetta Turbodelta (a logical
number, for homologation purposes) and 342 for the Nuova Giulietta 2.0
Turbodelta (also logical enough, for a car intended to be homologated for a
program which was aborted.) That would contradict Kartamalakis'
characterization of the numbers. D'Amico-Tabucchi is not immune from error,
but did have access to factory records and did aspire to be authoritative.
Either way it was a rare and interesting car, something of a sleeper which
could probably surprise a hot Verde along with a lot of other more overtly
"sporty" machines.
