oh, no - car won't start

I was going to work yesterday and it just started to rain. Got in the GTV6,
cranked, it sputtered and died. Ok, crank again - nothing. Waited 15
minutes - sounded like it was just catching and then nothing again. Strong
battery, cranks fast but does not start. What could it be? (had to take the
spider out in the rain :-(
