Interesting that you should mention Blade Runner. A few years ago (like
15 or so) the Smithsonian had a traveling exhibit called "Wasn't the
Future Wonderful?" or something like that. It was a collection of artifacts
from alternative futures dating back to the turn of the century. One of
the items was the SFX (special effects) model of a "spinner" from Blade
Runner. These things are loaded with detail, and one of the best sources
for the model makers are plastic kits. As a joke, the guy who built
this particular model put an "Alfa Romeo" script from some kit right on 
the nose! I have the picture to prove it, although it was really dark
and poor contrast.
