GTV6 / Unleaded

Hi

A couple of Australian correspondents have mentioned when the
unleaded GTV6 engines came into use. I have a Alfa Romeo (GB)
Technical News sheet listing (from December 1988) which lists =

which cars are cars which are capable of running on unleaded. The =

Alfa 6 is listed as just requiring ignition timing adjustment. The 3L
75 with a coolant temperature sensor for ignition advance
adjustment requires the sensor disconnecting and the ignition
retarded 3 degrees. All the other V6 engined cars (including
the GTV6 and 90) require no changes.

The only car listed as being incapable of running on unleaded
is the Alfetta fitted with Motronic, although he list only covers
cars from about 1980.
