Giulia 1600 Spider Guida destra

In AD7-381 Jeff Hanbury asks "in which years 101 series Giulia Spider 1600s
were produced in right hand drive by the factory. I have been told previously
by a couple of people that they were only made in RHD during 1964, and only as
normales."

Fusi says that in 1963 there were 333 Giulia 1600 Spider Guida destra, and 87
more in 1964. He does not list any in 1962 or 1965, nor any Veloces.

Jeff asks further "Is it possible to tell from the VIN whether a given car is
truly a factory RHD or whether it was an aftermarket conversion? Is there a
list of numbers somewhere?"

Yes, the list is in Fusi. 1963 Giulia 1600 Spider G.d. tipo 101.19 chassis
numbers went from 10119.383001 to 10119.383333, and in 1964 (as tipo 101.23,
the type number for the LHD Spiders from 1962 on) the chassis numbers went
from 10123.374639 to 10123.374638. The switch from tipo 101.19 back to 101.23
is an unaccountable anomaly, and Fusi is as subject to misprints as anyone
else, but a number which fits the list should be genuine.

Cordially,
