you are absolutely correct. Though I had 6 years of German between jr
high and high school, the memory does slip a bit after 25 years!

I am now trying to tackle "conversational" Italian, in preperation
for a trip to Italy in May. Thank god I have a bit of Latin instruction
to fall back on.
