There was a 4wd Alfa wagon several years back, mercifully not sold in
the US, that came tricked out with boy-racer wheel flares and other
bulgy things. It was universally panned, and sold very badly.

The P1800 was designed in-house by Volvo, and for the first year or so
the bodies were produced by Jensen, in England. AFAIK, Bertone had no
involvement at all. Much later, there was a chop-top coupe with a
Bertone badge, basically just a sedan with a lowered "formal"
roofline, that looked even boxier and gawkier than the car it was
based on.
