some one asked about compressing donut for installation (milanogold??)

try this, use multiple hose clamps chained in serial to form a loop that
is a bit longer to wrap the donut. tighten up each hose clamp one by one
each so slightly until the loop compress the donut in a more or less
uniformly fashion. Continue tighten up the hose clamps till you get
enough compression.

no I didn't invent the idea.
