116 shift linkage problem

Last week I explained how my Alfetta would not go into anything but 3rd and
4th gears. I finally got a chance to crawl under it yesterday and found the
two nuts holding the link rod to the shift rod in back were loose. In fact
one of them was completely missing.

Seems that the idiot who last worked on it forgot to install the lock
washers!

Oh wait, that was me wasn't it.
