2600 / 2000 Pistons Availability

In AD V7 #240 there was a request for pistons for a 1962 2600 Spider,
off the top of my head I can only think of the following places that
are likely to stock them (I have used nearly all the places listed),
AFRA in Milan (speak to Ornella Croci on 02/32861122 as she speaks
English) or fax her on 02/32861150. I think the current price is
reduced to about 950 GBPounds (normally 1250 GBPounds for pistons and
liners). Sergio Castellani in Trento has 2600 + 2000 pistons, rings
and head gaskets, he can be reached on 0465/322159 or fax 0465/324407
(He only speaks Italian). Diego Carrara in Italy will also have them
on 0442/93343 or fax 0442/93688, he has a web page at
www.tamtam.it/carrara/indexeng.html. Alternatively you could try the
Mahle factory in Stuttgart on (711) 549 5010 or fax (711) 549 0347.
Other likely sources of new pistons would be E.B. Spares in UK,
Ricambi (USA), Ondrak + Korber (speak to Matthias Korber) in Germany
or Ophoffs in Germany. If you want secondhand try Tom Zat (USA), Andy
Thorogood (UK), Alfaman (UK) or MP Racing (UK). If you want
performance pistons, ASSO do a GTA pattern and I think Shankle also do
something similar. I have a source which I am not prepared to name at
this moment in time who can do GTA pattern pistons for 2600's at 95
GBPounds each (Contact me off digest if you are interested).
