more re 164 wobble

First, thanks to all who replied.

Suggestions included:
bushings
CVs
out of round or true wheels
and others, including getting the front end off the ground and seeing
what happened at an indicated 60+.

the culprit?--me (indirectly) Because the 205/60 tires had been rubbing
on the fender liners, I had added a spacer to the one already on the front
wheel.
The driver side wheel when on the car bounced all over the place. The same
wheel on the balancer was fine. We took off the extra spacer, and
everything's smooth as glass!

A plug for Wheelworks in Mauntain view is in order--yes, I buy my tires
there--but even so, to test all the above, re-balance the wheels, and
charge nothing for the service is beyond the call of duty. They are
really a good shop.
