Exhaust for a '92 Spider Veloce

After 6 years of nearly trouble free driving, my exhaust system is starting
to go.  There are a few small holes where the pipe enters the rear muffler
can.  The car has the original stock unit.  As I have to replace it anyway,
should I be looking at a "performance" system, or just replace with stock.
The car is my daily driver with  around 57K miles on it.   It is completely
stock original other than the tires.
