i put this in my werde for the same reason - to try to salvage the abs system.
it still takes ~`30 seconds for the abs lite to go off when the car has been
sitting for a while, but it has not failed when stuck in a traffic jam on a hot
day (yet!)  it used to do this, i'd have to pull off and let it cool down - then
it'd start working again.  i also built an 'abs pump-cozy' for the pump, from
that generic under-hood insulation stuff, also awailable at the boys of pep.
