Oil streaks on the hood

Oil streaks on the hood - Spiders (probably GTVs, too). Check for oil
leaks and anti-freeze leaks first. But then, WASH OUT THE INSIDE of the
hood. Use gunk or simple green and hose the oil out of the double thick
metal reinforcing. I have had the streaks up the hood, not once, not twice
but LOTSA times. One can stop the original leak but the air pressure under
the hood will force out whatever was caught under the hood for a long time
afterwards like for a month or so. Anti-freeze is worse than oil when left
in the sun as it will "almost" permanently discolor the paint. Actually,
just washing it out once won't get it all out but it is a start. Tuck a
little towel or rags under the hood snout to soak it up before it streams
back.
