164 wheel vibration

I too had an annoying wheel vibration, it would appear between 120kph and
140kph and balancing didn't seem to make much difference. The problem was
traced to slight indentation in one of the front wheels. I had the
offending wheel machined and although this made a noticeable improvement it
did not completely eliminate the vibration. After further unsuccessful
balancing attempts at a couple of different tyre shops I found an outfit
that put a bit more effort in to their work (incl wheel swapping, test
drives) and they completely eliminated it. The only cost was purchasing my
next set of tyres from them!

My 164 had been also been throwing off the clip-on type lead weights, the
adhesive backed ones don't come off.

Hope this helps.

" Me too! Balance problem that the tire shop could not fix. Though I
didn't do as much as Colin to hunt down the problem, it is a very reputable
