164: Front Suspension Information

A few questions on your recent replacement of the Front A bushes...

(1) How did you remove the ball joint on the A-Arm - using a
conventional ball joint puller, or just unbolt it ?

(2) Rear Bushing I assume just pulled off, you only had to burn out the
front bushings ?, please confirm

(3) Whats the great lubricant you used ? Molycote 7544 PQ54 as
recommended by Alfa Romeo

(4) Is their any reason you chose the Superflex Poly bushings over the
AR Overload items?
It seems with the 94 onwards models the Overload items are not
available.

(5) Did you consider replacing the anti-roll (sway?) bar bushing at the
same time ?

A question about the steering bushes....

(1) I notice from the 164 parts CD that only 2 parts are replaceable
near to where the steering column links to the rack...
60801370 SilentBloc	(Circular pipe shaped fitting (may be in 2
parts))
60548715 Spacer	(V shaped block which looks like it rests underneath the
rack)

Any idea which one is the replaceable bushing you talked about ?

Looks like the same bushings fit the 1994 cars too, even though
Superflex does not list them.
