remove and replace water pump on 85 alfa spider

Ciao everyone;
	All you guys complaining about milano water pumps must have
caused my spider to get jealous. The water pump started making a
racket last Friday. I already ordered the pump and also got a new fan
(I figure that after all these years the plastic is ready to go also).
I have the manual and will have access to a lift and impact wrench.
Are there any tricks to doing this job? Anything else I should do
while I'm there?
