GTV sputtering over 3500 RPMS

Hello All. my 3.0 engine is sputtering over 2500 RPMS, the symptom is
obvious missing (but only briefly) maybe as if the fuel injector(s) are
clogged but clear themselves, the tach will flutter when this behavior
happens. The thing is it is not consistant and is quite intermittant, I've
tried putting in valve, fuel injection cleaning agents, and the problem
seems to go away for the duration of a tank or two but returns, but it
doesn't happen all the time, maybe sludge in the gas tank?
