A while back, there was a trap set up on highway 395 at Crowley Lake,
north of Bishop, over the July 4th weekend. One Cessna kept four patrol
cars busy enhancing the state coffers all weekend long. The financial
impact on the San Fernando Valley, where most visitors to Mammoth Lakes
come from, was felt for years.
