More on Concours Italiano parking situation

I called the folks at MIE today 7/29 (this is the arm of the Maserati club
which runs the show) and the parking situation for Concours Italiano is
this:

The corral (i.e. marque-specific) parking areas near the concours entrance
are completely full--overbooked, in fact, and to quote them directly, there
is "no chance" of parking there.  Further, because of the overbooking (I
guess they figure a certain percentage of cars won't start that morning),
there is the likelihood that any latecomers to the corral will be diverted
to other parking areas.  However, if you order spectator tickets through
MIE before August 1, you can get a "P" (preferred) parking pass at no extra
charge.  The "P" pass allows you to park near the 9th fairway (wherever the
heck that is) and bypass those waiting in line for the attendant-run
general parking (whether the "P" pass allows you to bypass those waiting
for the port-o-let, however, is another matter!).

Since I believe there is also a general parking charge if you just show up
in your car without the pass I'd say this sounds like a pretty decent deal,
but the deadline is Friday, so move fast!

Best way is to fax 'em at 425-646-5458 with name, address, day and evening
phone numbers, e-mail, and credit card info w/ expiration date, etc.
