Well, I was going to mention that the Saab 92 power unit *was* the DKW engine 
(with lots of mods, as mentioned) but the post was already getting way off 
topic and more than a little weird. They used it as a stop gap until they
could start building their own engine, the two stroke/inline 3 which they
put (longitudinally) in the 93/95/96.
