RE: 105 suspensions

The 5/8 W&D rear sway bar is supposed to be designed for the GTV. I
found it worked great on my Berlina, but was treacherous on my Spider.
I took it off and replaced it with the stock sway bar. The 5/8 bar sits
in my loft still.

W&D street suspension controls roll stiffness at the front with the
springs. I believe the street set-up gives a wheel rate of ca 300 lbs,
while the basic comp setup was more like 350 pounds. If you've not seen
their race front sway bar, it uses brackets coming down from the
steering box and idler and is quite large, 1 1/4 in if I remember
correctly--the lever arms are approximately the same length as the stock
bar. The rear bar that goes with this is about 5/8 (!) with adjustable
link length.

FWIW, increasing roll stiffness with springs fell out of favor during
the 80's, but with today's tire technology is back--with substantially
higher wheel rates if the tracks are smooth. Of course, today's body
shells are a lot stiffer.
