RE: [alfa] Graduate Duetto Race Car

For those who may be curious, follow the link and see what the Graduate Duetto looks like now (Or at least recently...not sure how old this photo is). Bilba, you may want to have a nice calming snifter of something smooth nearby, this may be a shock! :)

Biba,

I've heard the quote many times, "every Alfa ever built is a race car".
Perhaps not true, but I'd say potentially more true for Alfa than for any
other mass producer of vehicles, anywhere. Maybe Porsche is an exception,
they build a lot of cars..

Well, given that 40 years later, most of us still think all the do is play
football, you really think you could have turned things around for Alfa? ;)

Sure, and perhaps those who were in charge also could have come up with
something better, given a halfway decent budget. Although I must admit, a
lot of what I saw was pretty lame, but I'm guessing that the creators were
given nickels and dimes to work with.

Bare bones doesn't define a race car, imo (I'm entitled to mine, as you're
entitled to yours). By that definition, a Yugo would have qualified as a
thoroughbred race car - I don't think they came any more bare bones than
that, did they? ;)

Didn't mean to intimidate, my comments were intended as humorous (as is too
much of what I write). However, post a comment like that to the Porsche
list, or the Healey list, and see what you get for responses!

Peace,
