RE: [alfa] Re: Loctite

Joe -

Copper sealing washers are available. I buy them from metric and multi
standard (www.metricmcc.com), but they have a $25.00 order minimum and I
believe that the smallest quantity of washers is 25 or 50 depending on the
size.

They are also available from Wurth USA (www.wurthusa.com) and a few other
vendors, they really shouldn't be that hard to find. The local independent
foreign parts store in our small town in the middle of nowhere has them too.

The oil drain plugs on Alfas (and many other European cars) are 22x27, as
are the transmission and differential plugs. If you need some, I'll be happy
to sell you however many you need.

If you need other sizes, I should have them as well.

LMK what you need ...

Jeff

So NOW you tell me! Is this why no one in the USA sells freaking
copper crush washers?? I can just smear #518 goo on the old ones and
make them seal?

Now if only I could find a retailer that carries Loctite products
besides #242 and #271...arrgh.
