Alfisti,

No need to spend lots of dough ($450+) on compressors for Alfas any longer. No need to send your money to Alfa Bill for an overpriced compressor with the wrong pulleys on it that requires you to change your belts.

Alfas run Sanden compressors. You can get a brand new compressor, with your clutch rebuilt (the clutches are so rare on the Alfas that that is the really unique part that is tough to get service on or a replacement for) for $229.

$229 total!!!

This is a direct replacement, Sanden SD7H15 compressor (at least for the 164 models) that is designed for R134A. Bolts up the same as the original SD709 (which was meant for R12).
The clutch rebuild involves re-surfacing the pulley clutch surface, new bearing, and new field coil (if required).
