[alfa] Spica noise

I had the same howl on a fresh HP rebuilt pump from Ingram. It was only at idle and was more prevalent when engine was warm.
I sent the pump in and he could not reproduce the sound. Perhaps because it does not get the extra heat the engine provides? Anyway, he said not to worry the pump is fine,,, so, I was able to set the idle higher than he suggests without suffering any trailing throttle back firing. This greatly minimized the occurrence on this application.

I'm detecting a noise coming from my Spica pump. It's kind of a howling noise only at idle. I can hear it with the engine running and can isolate it to the rear section of the pump with my stethoscope. Anyone want to guess? Oil level is not rising. Car is running well.
