Now there ya go Richard, you are an ideas man.

Here in Oz lotsa 4X4 guys convert their vehicle aircon compressors as air
compressors for tools, pumping tyres etc.  Can't believe I've never
considered utilising a similar system using the ubiquitous fridge motor !!

Guess what I'm building tomorrow ?
