[alfa] Question on installation of seals...

Last night (until 3:30am) I was up doing the cam seals, timing belt, and various other seals on my 164Q.

I replaced the seal for the oil pump (which is driven by the timing belt). When I installed the seal, I oiled both the inside AND the outside. The seal basically slid right in with very little force.

Should this (oiling seal and sliding in very easily) be a concern? Is it not a good idea to apply oil to the outside diameter of the seal, or will it just burn off quickly anyway? I am worried about this seal backing out.

Thanks for your persepctives in advance...
