[alfa] Transmission drive flange nuts, and market flops

>>The Alfa 6 also wasn't an
outstanding disaster among Alfa's forays into the larger-car market,
outselling the prior 2600 Berlina seven to one, and the 102 ironblock
Berlina about five to one. It also substantially outsold the 90 V6
(12,269 to 6,912) and the 75 (Milano) V6 (12,269 to 9,526)<<

From one book I can find they list that 6372 of the Alfa 6 were built,
and that figure seems to include 1771 of the 2L V6 version and 2977
of the VM engined turbo diesel version. The same source also gives
6912 as the number 0f 2.5 V6 Alfa 90s built, but there are the 2L
V6 models on top of that. The same book lists 11718 2.5 V6 Alfa
75s built between 1985 and 1988, 6527 3L V6 Alfa 75s in 1987
and 1988, 2999 3L V6 after that date (facelifted) and 354 2.5 V6.
Again there were 2051 of the Alfa 2600 saloon built (quite a bit
less than the V6 Alfa 6), and 2893 of the iron block 102 saloon (so
pretty close to the V6 Alfa 6).

If these figures are correct then it looks like about 3200 Alfa 6
V6 cars were built, compared with at least double that of the V6
Alfa 90 and around 14 times that number of V6 Alfa 75s.

Personally I think it looks like the Alfa 6 was a bit of a disaster.

All the best
