[alfa] unregistered cars (fun story, no alfa content)

There's a guy I know in semi-rural Visalia California who has about 5 Studebakers that are registered, a handful that are unregistered and a handful that have been disassembled and stashed in his barn as parts. He's a very mechanical guy, but does not like to do paint, bodywork, and upholstery.

Most of his cars, registered or unregistered are kept legally and discreetly in has backyard behind a tall fence. He's aware that some of his cars are an eyesore to the average person.

One of his neighbors complained about one or more cosmetically-challenged unregistered vehicles that were visible from the street. He thought this person was being extremely picky, as he was always careful about being a good neighbor.

What did he do? He pushed the unregistered vehicle into the back yard where the law says it belonged. He then took all of his cosmetically challenged and properly registered vehicles and started parallel-parking them in front of the neighbors house. The police promptly arrived and determined that he now in full compliance with the law, having put away his unregistered vehicles.

After about a week, he stopped parking in front of the neighbor's house, never to hear another peep from the neighbor.

Ciao for now
Karl
