Aloe Army Air Field opened in 1943, and was used for training fighter pilots during WWII. The field was declared surplus in 1946 and transferred to Victoria County in 1948, becoming Victoria County Airport. In 1960, Victoria Regional Airport was opened and the county gave the old Aloe Field property back to the federal government, which divided and sold it.

Victoria Dragstrip operated from around 1963 to around 1971. The SCCA raced on the site from approximately 1972 through 1975. The Victoria Kart Club appears to have raced here in the late 1990s or early 2000s.
