The track operated from 1967 to 1969 as a 3/8 mile dirt oval. It was paved for the 1970 season, operating until 1979. In 1981, it reopened as a 3/8 mile dirt oval, operating through 1983. It reopened (still dirt) from 1988 through 1993. It returned to paved operation in 1996, operating until sometime around 2003-2004, when it reverted to the current dirt surface.

The track has also operated as Evans Mills Speedway, Evans Mills Raceway and Evans Mills International Speedway.
