The track was located close enough to the embankment for the Troy-Menands Bridge that spectators sit there and watch the races for free.

The adjacent drive in movie theater is clearly visible in the 1952 aerial image.

The track operated from June 12, 1947 to September 2, 1963. Subsequently, the Two Guys department store was built on the site. The building still stands but Two Guys closed long ago.

The track also operated under the name Menands Raceway.
