introduction => ' was a motorsports complex which included a 3.0-mile banked
road course, quarter-mile drag strip, half-mile paved oval, 1/8 mile
micro track, motocross track and kart track. It was located in Hephzibah, GA,
about 15 miles southwest of Augusta and used from 1963 to 1969. A planned 2-mile
tri-oval and conversion of the infield lakes for hydroplane racing were never
completed. The land is now part of Diamond Lakes Regional Park and and the
track, which is still largely intact, is to be turned into a walking and
bicycling trail. There is a large granite monument to the Raceway on the site.
