The terra server link is an image of the area where the race takes place each year. The photo was taken fairly close to the date of the race, but I\'m not sure how close. If you zoom in and look around, you can find some evidence such as the apparent victory circle area.

The Long Beach Grand Prix started as an SCCA F5000 race in 1975. In 1976, Long Beach became a stop on the F1 circuit; in 1984, Long Beach signed up with CART ( formerly Indycars, now ChampCar) and has been a major race on the circuit ever since.

The street course has used a variety of configurations over the years.

Founded by promotor Chris Pook, the Long Beach Grand Prix is currently owned and operated by Dover Motorsports, Inc., which is parent of a number of race tracks in the US, including Dover Downs in Delaware.
